3/12/17: - Carissa competed her first meet of all four events after spraining her ankle early in the season. At the TX State competition, she placed second all around in her age group with a 37.3. She got a 9.625 on vault, winning 1st place, and a 9.575 on bars, earning 2nd place. Carissa qualified to the regional competition in Denver, CO next month.

5/2/16 - Carissa will be competing for Region 3 in the 2016 Junior Olympic Nationals at the Fort Worth Convention Center Sunday, May 8th. She is in the Junior D age-group competing in session IV from 9 to noon. She will be practicing with Region 3 on Friday, May 6th, from 3:30 to 6. www.jonationals.com
